RMS a CDDL-ről.

Richard M. Stallman ismét: ezúttal az OpenSolaris licenszelésével kapcsolatban nyilvánult meg, mégpedig az OpenSolaris Discuss listán. (Aminek nincs archívuma – lolka.)
Egyrészt értékes a hozzászólás, mert egy hosszú vita végére tett pontot (miért inkompatíbilis a CDDL a GPL-lel, illetve az-e egyáltalán), másrészt RMS nem RMS lenne, ha nem hívná fel a figyelmet arra, hogy a Linux nem oprendszer, csak egy kernel a GNU alatt:

Consider the wonderful cross-pollination between OpenBSD, FreeBSD, NetBSD, Linux, and the vast repertoire of the FSF.

*BSD and Linux don’t belong in the same list, because *BSD are operating systems. Linux, however, is just a kernel. If you’re thinking of the operating system in which Linux is used, then what
